Roads Closed for July 0 Ceremony Rehearsal in Nicosia
In preparation for the July 0 ceremony, certain roads in Nicosia will be closed to traffic. The closure will affect the road route between Honda Traffic Lights Junction, Altınbaş Petrol Traffic Lights Junction, and Gonyeli circle. Drivers are advised to take alternative routes during this time.
According to a statement from the Police Press Officer, the road closure will start at 07:00 tomorrow (Sunday, 16 July) and will continue until the ceremony rehearsal is completed. The affected roads will be closed to traffic during this period.
To facilitate transportation, the following alternative routes have been provided:
1. For drivers heading to the Organized Industrial Zone, transportation will be available from either Altınbaş Petrol Traffic Lights Junction or Atatürk Stadium circle.
2. For drivers coming from Famagusta and heading to the Near East University, transportation will be available via the Near East Boulevard, using the Nicosia North Ring Road.
3. For drivers heading into the city of Nicosia from Famagusta, they should turn left from the Hamitköy circle and cross Mimar Mehmet Vahip Caddesi and Şht. İsmail Beyoğlu Street or Honda Traffic Lights. They can then proceed on Şht. Mustafa Ahmet Ruso Street.
4. For drivers heading from Famagusta to Güzelyurt, they can take the Gonyeli Circle route via the Nicosia Northern Ring Road or the Metehan-Alayköy Ring Road from the Citroen Traffic Lights junction on Nicosia Mehmet Akif Caddesi.
5. For drivers heading from Güzelyurt to Nicosia, they can take the Alayköy-Metehan ring road or Gönyeli circle and Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu Street (State Hospital) route.
6. For drivers coming from Kyrenia and heading to Nicosia, they can either use the Boğazköy-Dikmen road through the Nicosia Organized Industrial Zone, or take the Kyrenia-Nicosia main road and then Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu Street (State Hospital).
Drivers are reminded not to park their vehicles on the specified roads and to comply with the traffic signs and markers in order to ensure smooth traffic flow.
