Transylvanian Folklore Ensemble to Perform in Avaza and Ashgabat

The National Folklore Ensemble of Romania, known as “Transylvania,” is set to make its debut in Avaza and Ashgabat. According to the Romanian Embassy in Turkmenistan, the ensemble will perform at the international folklore and dance festival “Avaza 2023” from July 13 to 16 and at the Watan Concert Hall in Ashgabat on June 18 at 18:00. Admission to the Ashgabat concert is free.

The concert will showcase the Transylvania region’s distinctive culture and traditions, with the ensemble performing in its beautiful national costumes. The ensemble’s repertoire includes 25 choreographic programs, and it has received numerous national and international awards.

The performance is organized by the Romanian Embassy in Turkmenistan with the support of the Turkmen Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and it is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The Transylvania Ensemble has performed successfully in many countries outside of Romania, including Bulgaria, Sweden, Norway, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Spain, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, China, Korea, Mongolia, the USA, and Canada.
