Roza Otunbayeva shares insights on Taliban’s meeting with UN diplomats in Doha
The United Nations Secretary General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Roza Otunbayeva, has expressed her approval of the Taliban’s decision to participate in the upcoming United Nations conference in Doha. This move is seen as a crucial step towards building trust between the de facto authorities in Afghanistan and the international community.
Otunbayeva highlighted the importance of involving key stakeholders, including the Taliban, in discussions to address the uncertainties faced by the Afghan people. The participation of the Taliban delegation in meetings with diplomats from various countries in Qatar signifies a willingness to engage in dialogue and seek solutions to the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan.
