Russian Railways boosts cargo and transit deliveries to Turkmenistan
Russian Railways has highlighted the importance of a strong and sustainable partnership with Turkmenistan in the development of transportation and vital infrastructure projects. Sergei Pavlov, First Deputy General Director of Russian Railways, confirmed that the visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Russia in mid-2020 had been pivotal in building closer ties between the two countries. Addressing an international conference in Ashgabat on transport and transit, Pavlov said there were a number of areas requiring joint attention, including the development of the North-South transport corridor and human resource initiatives.
