Sadyr Japarov and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Convene
President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, recently held a meeting with Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, in Ashgabat. The discussions during the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in various sectors such as trade, economy, culture, and humanitarian issues.
One of the key points of the conversation was the advancement of joint projects in the areas of trade, energy, transport, and logistics. President Japarov highlighted the significance of strengthening collaboration in the energy sector and the development of transport routes to boost regional integration and bolster trade between Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed his gratitude for Sadyr Japarov’s participation in an international forum commemorating the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen poet, Makhtumkuli Fragi, underscoring the importance of furthering bilateral relations between the two nations.
As a gesture of goodwill, at the conclusion of the meeting, Sadyr Japarov gifted Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov a book featuring selected works by Makhtumkuli Fragi in the Kyrgyz language. This exchange further symbolizes the efforts towards strengthening cultural ties and mutual understanding between Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.
