President Sadyr Japarov Signs Decree to Establish SCNS Academy

On January 30, 2024, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree to establish the Academy of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) named after Lieutenant General Anarbek Bakaev. This new academy will be located at the premises of the Institute of Professional Retraining and Advanced Training of the SCNS. The official publication of the document was made in Erkin-Too newspaper on February 2, 2024.
The establishment of the SCNS Academy aims to create a unified system of multi-level training for highly qualified specialists, managerial, and scientific-pedagogical staff for national security bodies in the Kyrgyz Republic. Additionally, it is intended to expand the research base on issues of ensuring national security.
The next steps involve the SCNS registering the SCNS Academy and approving its charter. It is expected that this new institution will play a key role in enhancing the capabilities and expertise of national security personnel in the country.
It is worth noting that the construction of the SCNS Academy building began in March 2022. With the decree now in effect, the process of establishing this vital institution is well underway.
