President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov Holds Meeting with German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz

President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, recently met with the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz, in Astana during his working visit to Kazakhstan. The press service of the head of state reported that the two leaders discussed various current issues of the Kyrgyzstan-Germany agenda, including political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
During the meeting, President Japarov expressed the country’s appreciation for the strong and friendly relations with Germany, which is considered an important partner of the Kyrgyz Republic within the European Union. He also highlighted the successful official visit of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Kyrgyzstan last year, emphasizing the increasing cooperation between the two countries.
President Japarov underlined the significance of economic ties with Germany and the gradual growth in trade between the two nations. He stated that attracting foreign investment and strengthening international partnerships are among the main goals of the republic, with Germany playing a crucial role in this endeavor.
On the other hand, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz expressed his interest in further developing bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan. He mentioned the visit of President Japarov to Berlin last year as a clear sign of active cooperation between the two countries on specific issues.
Moreover, Chancellor Scholz highlighted the importance of the migration of specialists from Kyrgyzstan to Germany for the German enterprises, signaling a potential area for deeper cooperation between the two sides.
Both parties agreed to continue strengthening and developing relations in all areas of mutual interest, reaffirming their commitment to enhancing the Kyrgyzstan-Germany partnership for the benefit of both nations.
