Sadyr Japarov’s Team Plays Friendly Match with FIFA
Kyrgyzstan’s president and FIFA head play friendly football match
On May 5th, the President of Kyrgyzstan and the head of FIFA played a friendly football match in Bishkek. The FIFA team included heads of structural and regional divisions of the Federation, including the 1998 world champion and the 2000 European champion Youri Djorkaeff. Meanwhile, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of state bodies, and employees of Sadyr Japarov’s administration played in the presidential team.
According to the press service of the head of state, the team of Sadyr Japarov won the friendly match. FIFA President Gianni Infantino even presented the president with a personalized FIFA football uniform as a gift.
In related news, Infantino also arrived in Kyrgyzstan to take part in the opening of a new administrative office of the Kyrgyz Football Union. The construction was carried out under the project of FIFA Forward Programme.
The match and the opening ceremony are seen as a significant event for Kyrgyzstan, which is trying to increase its presence in the world of professional football.
