Saida Mirziyoyeva Recognizes Parents and Mentor of Successful Students in Abu Dhabi

On January 20, Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan, met with the parents and mentor of two students from the Tashkent Presidential School who recently won the prestigious Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Award in the “Global High Schools” category. During the meeting, she presented them with an award on behalf of the President of Uzbekistan, expressing her gratitude and pride in their remarkable achievement.

“This victory is a symbol of hope and inspiration for all our youth. We are proud of you!” Mirziyoyeva said, highlighting the broader impact of this accomplishment on Uzbekistan’s younger generation.

The award-winning project, developed by students Pahlavon Ghulomov and Asilbek Ashrapov under the mentorship of Sohibkhon Azizov, focuses on recycling rainwater into potable water. Competing against 5,980 applications from 156 countries, their innovative and sustainable solution stood out as a prime example of youth-driven ingenuity addressing global challenges.

Earlier on January 14, it was announced that the Tashkent Presidential School had been recognized on the international stage with this award. The prestigious ceremony took place in Abu Dhabi, where Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, personally presented the award to the students.

Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized that this achievement reflects Uzbekistan’s commitment to sustainable development and the visionary policies of its leadership. “The success of our youth not only makes us proud but also confirms the importance of the path our President has chosen toward sustainability and ‘green’ growth,” she added.
