Turkmenistan Foreign Market Sees Active Trading
During a recent trading session at the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan, a variety of goods were bought and sold in both the domestic and foreign markets.
On the foreign market, cotton yarns were sold for $1.87 per kg, while Flannel bedding sets were priced at $6.50 per set and Cretonne bedding sets sold for $7-8.
In the domestic market, there was high demand for kerosene, bitumen, polypropylene, cotton harsh yarns, 100% cotton flannel dense fabric, and handmade Turkmen carpets.
The trading session resulted in a total of 63 deals being concluded, with a combined value of 85,114,240.74 manats and $1,823,400.
Notably, businessmen from the UAE struck deals with local enterprises to purchase cotton yarn and various sets of bed linen for a total of $1,823,400 million.
Representatives of business circles from Turkmenistan also sealed deals with the State Concern “Turkmennebit” and the Ministry of Textile Industry for the purchase of kerosene, bitumen, polypropylene, cotton harsh yarns, flannel cotton dense fabrics, and handmade Turkmen carpets.
The lively trading session underscored the active and diverse nature of Turkmenistan’s foreign and domestic markets, showcasing the country’s role as a key player in regional commerce and trade.
