Sapat schools to be transferred to Maarif with teaching staff retention

The transfer of the Sapat network of educational institutions under the management of Maarif International Foundation will not impact the teaching staff, as reported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry stated that this decision was made in the best interests of the students, pupils, and parents, with the goal of improving the conditions for education and offering new opportunities for student development.

Representatives from the Maarif Foundation assured that the educational process within the Sapat network institutions will continue without any disruptions. All programs will be carried out in accordance with Kyrgyz Republic’s Education Law, state standards, and approved curricula.

The Ministry of Education and Science guaranteed that teaching staff will maintain their positions, and students will continue their education under the same conditions as outlined in their previous agreements. The Ministry also pledged to safeguard the rights of all individuals involved in the educational process.

The Ministry expressed confidence in the Maarif Foundation’s ability to uphold the high standards for which the Sapat network is known. They will continue to monitor the quality of education and the operations of educational institutions under the Foundation’s management.

Property and the seal of the international educational institution Sapat were officially handed over to the Turkish Maarif Foundation on January 2, 2025. The Foundation will now bear legal responsibility for all future activities.

The decision to transfer the management of the Sapat network to the Maarif Foundation was announced by the Cabinet of Ministers on December 31, 2024. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet, Edil Baisalov, stated that this decision was made with the well-being of the students and pupils in mind, considering the Foundation’s reputation as a reliable partner in education.

While the decision came as a surprise to the Sapat team, students, and parents, the institution’s founders have expressed their intent to uphold their rights within the frameworks of Kyrgyzstan’s legislation and international law.
