Scarlett Johansson Collaborates with Disney Once Again in New Movie
Actress Scarlett Johansson is set to star in the upcoming Disney movie, “Tower of Terror,” directed by Taika Waititi. Following her successful portrayal of Black Widow in Marvel movies, Johansson will also serve as a producer for the film.
The movie is based on the Tower of Terror theme park attraction at Walt Disney World, which takes riders through a haunted journey with supernatural occurrences in an elevator. The scare factor in the attraction has made it a fan favorite among visitors.
The screenplay for the movie was written by Josh Cooley, who also penned Pixar’s “Inside Out.” Though the plot of the movie has not been revealed, it is expected to address the story of the Tower of Terror amusement park ride, which draws inspiration from the Twilight Zone series.
Johansson’s collaboration with Disney comes after a lawsuit she filed against the company for releasing the movie “Black Widow” on Disney+ at the same time as its theatrical release. However, Johansson recently spoke to Variety and expressed her excitement to continue working with Disney, despite the legal dispute.
Waititi, who is also known for directing “Thor: Ragnarok” and “Jojo Rabbit,” continues to add to his impressive list of projects with “Tower of Terror.” Fans of Johansson and Disney can look forward to experiencing the thrill of the haunted elevator ride when the movie arrives in theaters.
