Scholarship Opportunities for Turkmen Students at Indian Universities
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) is offering scholarships to citizens of Turkmenistan for the 2025-2026 academic year. This scholarship program covers bachelor’s, master’s, and research programs, as well as the study of Indian culture in various forms such as dance, music, theater, performing arts, sculpture, Indian languages, and culinary arts.
Applications for the scholarships will be accepted online through the ICCR A2A Scholarship Portal, which opens on February 20, 2025. A total of 131 universities and institutions are participating in the program this year.
Key dates to remember for the application process include the opening of the application portal on February 20, 2025, the deadline for student applications on April 30, 2025, and the deadline for universities to notify acceptance or rejection by May 31, 2025.
Selection features for the scholarship program include the ability for candidates to apply to five universities of their choice, confirmation of English proficiency through a 500-word essay or TOEFL/IELTS certificates, and the possibility of online interviews. Scholarship payments are made through the PFMS system, and the scholarship covers economy class air tickets and train travel to the place of study.
For engineering specialties, applicants must have studied physics, chemistry, and mathematics in high school. Documents not in English must be accompanied by an official translation.
