School Management Fired After Incident Involving Schoolchildren in Syrdarya

The school management in the Sardoba district of the Syrdarya region has faced consequences after students were left unattended in a classroom and watched an inappropriate video clip on the monitor.

According to the Syrdarya Regional Department for Preschool and School Education, the incident took place at secondary school No. 5 in the Sardoba district. During their free time, the students were unsupervised and viewed a video clip on the classroom monitor, which reportedly contained obscene content. A video of the incident was later shared on social media platforms.

As a result of this negligence, the school administration took disciplinary action by terminating the employment contracts of the class teacher, the school director, and deputy directors for academic and spiritual and educational work. The reason cited for their termination was that they had “left students unattended.”

To prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future, the authorities have announced that measures will be implemented to strengthen the collaboration between schools, parents, and the local community (mahalla) in all secondary schools. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of supervision and creating a safe learning environment for students.
