Schools Hiring 30 Thousand New Staff: Salary, Application Process, and Work Schedule Revealed!

The Ministry of National Education in Turkey is set to solve the cleaning staff problem in public schools by recruiting 30 thousand new staff members. Minister of National Education Prof. Dr. Yusuf Tekin announced that the Ministry of Labor has granted permission to employ 3 thousand full-time administrative personnel, which will help resolve the issue with the addition of the 30 thousand new staff.

Previously, the Ministry of National Education had been allocated 120 thousand quotas within the labor adaptation program to support maintenance, repair, and cleaning activities in schools. However, due to the low monthly salary of 8,000 liras offered initially, the number of applications was limited, and cleaning personnel could not be recruited. To address this, conditions have been improved, and an additional quota of 30 thousand people has been allocated for a period of 6 months.

The new cleaning personnel will work 5 days a week and receive the monthly minimum wage. If they miss a day at work, 667 TL will be deducted from their salaries. Applications for the program will be open for 3 days and can be submitted through e-Government, ALO 170, and service units. Applicants must meet certain criteria, including being a citizen of Turkey, over 18 years of age, not receiving retirement or disability pension, not being a student, and not being insured elsewhere during the application process.

It is also required that applicants reside at the same address according to the address registration system throughout the period of employment. Additionally, the total earnings of individuals living at the same address should not exceed 1.5 times the net amount of 1 month’s minimum wage from income-generating jobs during the program.

This initiative aims to address the shortage of cleaning staff in public schools and provide job opportunities for individuals meeting the specified criteria. With the recruitment of 30 thousand new staff members, the Ministry of National Education is taking steps to improve the cleanliness and maintenance of schools across the country.
