“SCNS Coordinating Center for Cybersecurity Unveils New Building in Kyrgyzstan”
Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Japarov recently attended the opening ceremony of the Coordinating Center for Cybersecurity of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS). The center, which is equipped with state-of-the-art technological equipment and software systems meeting international standards, ensures the country’s cybersecurity. It will coordinate various state bodies, incident response centers, and will detect, prevent, and suppress computer attacks. Japarov highlighted the importance of cybersecurity in a country’s national security and emphasized the need to ensure citizens’ access to modern electronic services, since cybersecurity risks associated with the digital economy and information technologies have become a global challenge. Japarov called for taking into account advanced foreign experience and the best practices of partners in the field of cybersecurity to strengthen the material and technical base of national security agencies while also comprehensively ensuring innovative areas of relevant work. Finally, Japarov added that such actions should become a solid basis for creating a new model of the special service, capable of preventing internal and external threats in a timely manner.
