SCNS Exposes Serious Misconduct at Educational Institution

Gross Violations Uncovered in Sulukta Humanitarian-Economic Institute
The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) has recently reported on gross violations discovered within the department of secondary vocational education at the Sulukta Humanitarian-Economic Institute of Batken State University.
Upon reviewing student visit logs and exam records, it was revealed that numerous students had been absent from classes and exams for an extended period. Despite this, officials at the institute, in collaboration with the students, concealed the absences and granted permission for them to continue their education without their participation.
Further investigation uncovered that some students were located outside of Kyrgyzstan or in other regions of the country during their study and examination period.
To conduct a thorough assessment of the institute’s activities, the Ministry of Education and Science has formed a special commission. In addition to the initial findings, the commission has also identified several other serious violations, including financial misconduct.
Efforts are currently underway to hold all responsible officials at the educational institution accountable for their actions. The situation is developing, and more information is expected to come to light as the investigation progresses.
