SCNS Releases Report on Detention of Adakhan Madumarov’s Supporters
Mass Protests and Riots Thwarted in Kyrgyzstan
Members of the Butun Kyrgyzstan political party were apprehended while preparing for mass protests and large-scale riots in the country in an attempt to seize power through violent means. This information was reported by the Press Center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS).
Under the article “Calls for mass riots” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, a criminal case has been initiated in response to these actions.
Searches were conducted in the houses of 10 members of the Butun Kyrgyzstan party in Sokuluk, Moskovsky districts, and Bishkek. During these searches, bank cards and information on the financial income of party members were seized, along with party vests, banners, posters, and other material evidence that confirmed their criminal intentions, according to the SCNS.
Furthermore, supporters of the Butun Kyrgyzstan party have been placed in the temporary detention center of the SCNS.
The actions of the supporters of Adakhan Madumarov, a prominent figure associated with the party, were coordinated by the central headquarters of the Butun Kyrgyzstan party. Specifically, employees of the secretariat of the parliamentary faction were found to have maintained contacts with Madumarov’s supporters, creating groups on mobile applications, instant messengers, and social media platforms. These individuals exerted a destructive influence on ordinary party members, persuading them to participate in organizing protests and preparing for mass riots, as stated by the state committee.
The timely intervention by security forces has successfully averted potential unrest and maintained stability in the country. The SCNS is committed to ensuring the safety and security of the Kyrgyz Republic and will continue to monitor the situation closely.
