SCNS Returns Another Land Plot to State

The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) has uncovered a case of illegal withdrawal of a land plot from state ownership in the Zhaiyl district of Chui region. The 31.5-hectare land plot, previously owned by Buudai OJSC, was sold at an underestimated price.
According to the SCNS press center, it was discovered that in 2007, certain officials of state bodies, in collaboration with employees of the joint-stock company, misused their official powers to illegally transfer the Aerodrome land plot from state ownership for a mere 185,000 soms. The land plot, located in the Ak-Bashat village, housed an airstrip, a warehouse for pesticides, and other buildings owned by Buudai OJSC.
As a result of investigative and operational activities, the land plot, which has an estimated value of 470 million soms, was returned to the state on August 14, 2024. This marks a significant victory in combating corruption and ensuring that state assets are protected and managed transparently.
The SCNS continues to work diligently to uncover and rectify instances of corruption and abuse of power in Kyrgyzstan, demonstrating a commitment to upholding the rule of law and safeguarding public resources.
