SCRMET Auction Yields Over $77 Million in Transactions

Last week, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan saw a total of over 77 million 668 thousand US dollars in transactions. According to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, 33 transactions were registered at the auction.

Entrepreneurs from the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and Georgia purchased hydrotreated diesel fuel, aviation and lighting kerosene, petroleum bitumen, low-sulfur fuel oil from the “Turkmennebit” State Concern, as well as carbamide, and carbon black from the “Turkmenhimiya” State Concern using foreign currency.

Representatives from the UAE, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan also purchased raw cotton fabric, denim, and cotton yarn using foreign currency. The total amount of transactions exceeded 77 million 668 thousand US dollars.

On the domestic front, entrepreneurs purchased petroleum bitumen and handmade carpets from the “Turkmennebit” State Concern for the domestic market, totaling more than 5 million 634 thousand manats.
