SDMK Approved Sadaqah Al-Fitr Amount for OROZO 2025

The Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan has officially approved the amount of sadaqah al-fitr for the year 2025. According to the website of the Spiritual Directorate, this year each person is required to donate 1.6 kilograms of wheat, flour, or raisins, or 3.2 kilograms of barley and dates as sadaqah al-fitr. Alternatively, individuals can donate an amount equal to the cost of these products.

Due to price instability, it is important to focus on the weight of the products when making donations. The SDMK has introduced a system for payment of sadaqah al-fitr via QR code and developed a mobile application called “Finik” for donations.

The holy month of Ramadan in 2025 is set to begin on March 1st, with Muslims in the country observing the fast until the evening of March 29th. On February 28th, evening tarawih prayers will be held in all mosques of Kyrgyzstan to mark the beginning of the fast.

Sadaqah al-fitr is a charitable donation that is obligatory for Muslims during the month of Ramadan. The SDMK determines the amount of the donation annually, with last year’s donation set at 1.6 kilograms of wheat, raisins, or flour, or 3.2 kilograms of barley or dates. Muslim individuals are encouraged to adhere to the guidelines set by the SDMK for sadaqah al-fitr donations.
