Seasonal Rush: A Busy Semester at the Bus Station
The first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year has officially ended, and with that comes the start of the 15-day holiday for students. As expected, many people have flocked to the bus station in hopes of spending their vacation outside the city. Some are heading out of town to visit family, while others are taking the opportunity to spend time with loved ones who live in their hometowns.
For Hatice Şahin and her son, the plan is to travel to Bursa to visit their grandmother and show her their report cards. This marks the first time they have received their report cards, so the excitement is evident as they look forward to celebrating with family and also setting aside time for homework.
Meanwhile, for Feray Karaoğlu and her son, the trip is to Kahramanmaraş to visit family. The grandmother is especially excited to see her grandchildren, and this visit holds special significance as it comes in the wake of the February 6 earthquake. The sense of joy and the hope for a safe journey and protection from natural disasters is strong as they embark on this holiday trip.
High school student Muhammet Emin Muslu is planning to visit his family in Çerkezköy before heading to his hometown of Gümüşhane. The love for mountains and historical places is evident as he expresses his excitement about traveling and spending time with loved ones.
As for Ahmet Asili, he’s sending his wife and children to Ordu Fatsa to live with their grandfather for 15 days, in order to provide them with a much-needed break and to allow them to rest and rejuvenate.
As the holiday migration begins, it’s clear that the spirit of family, joy, and the hope for safety are at the forefront of everyone’s minds. Whether traveling near or far, the collective wish is for a happy and peaceful holiday season.
