On October 18th, officers of the Main Criminal Investigation Department in Bishkek received information about an underground gambling hall operating in the city. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that there were suspicions of possible involvement of individuals registered with the Ministry as members of an organized crime group.

A criminal case was swiftly opened under Article 219-1, which pertains to the illegal organization of gambling activities in the Kyrgyz Republic. Investigative measures were conducted at a guest house on Turusbekov Street, which led to the discovery of the illicit establishment.

At the scene, the organizer and staff of the gambling facility were apprehended, and three individuals were taken into police custody. Additionally, participants in the illegal gambling activities were also brought to the police station for questioning.

The organizers were subsequently detained and placed in a temporary detention facility on suspicion of organizing illegal gambling operations. The investigation into this case is still ongoing as authorities work to uncover the extent of the illicit activities taking place within the underground gambling hall in Bishkek.
