Selcuk Bayraktar advises Fazil Say to learn instead of ranting
Selçuk Bayraktar, the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Technology Leader at Baykar, has expressed his support for the “Hard landing on the Moon” project in response to a comment made by Fazıl Say. Say had suggested that Bayraktar’s ambition to “land hard on the moon” was not enough and that more was needed, such as “KICKING, SLAVE LANDING, MARS,” or something similar.
Bayraktar clarified that it was not him who planned the project but one of Turkey’s best rocket scientists, Assoc. Arif Karabeyoglu. However, as an engineer who has devoted his life to technology, he fully supports the goal until the end. He also advised Say to respect scientists and try to learn about scientific issues instead of ranting about things he cannot comprehend.
Bayraktar has always been ambitious about space and technology. He is known for his contributions to the development of Turkey’s drone program and the establishment of TEKNOFEST, the world’s largest aviation, space, and technology festival held annually in Istanbul. Recently, he has also made headlines by showcasing a humanoid robot named “Çakır” at a conference.
Undeterred by Say’s comment, Bayraktar continues to work towards his goal of landing on the moon, whether it be a hard landing or something more ambitious. His commitment to science and technology serves as an inspiration to many young engineers and innovators in Turkey and around the world.
