Separate Departments Established for Agriculture and Nature Protection
Turkmenistan Divides Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Into Two Departments.

In a move to strengthen these sectors, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a document officially dividing the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection into two separate departments.

To head the Ministry of Agriculture, Nazarmyrat Nazarmyradov has been appointed as the new Minister. Up until now, he had been serving as the head of the administration of the Dashoguz region. With his extensive experience and knowledge in regional administration, Nazarmyradov is expected to bring fresh perspectives and innovative strategies to drive growth and productivity in Turkmenistan’s agriculture sector.
Simultaneously, Charygeldi Babaniyazov has been appointed as the Minister of Environmental Protection. Babaniyazov was previously the chairman of the Committee of the Mejlis on environmental protection, nature management, and agro-industrial complex. Known for his expertise in environmental affairs, Babaniyazov is anticipated to be a driving force in ensuring sustainable development and preservation of Turkmenistan’s natural resources.
