Serbian President Resumes Duties, Set to Meet Russian and British Ambassadors

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic Set to Return from Sick Leave
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is preparing to resume his official duties after taking sick leave on May 7, as reported by Pink TV and confirmed by TASS. His return is eagerly anticipated, especially with a series of important meetings planned for the day.
On his first day back, Vucic will meet with Russian Ambassador to Belgrade, Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko. Furthermore, he has scheduled discussions with the heads of both the Russian and British embassies in Serbia, emphasizing the significance of international relations in his agenda.
Prior to Vucic’s return, First Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali mentioned that the president had temporarily canceled all engagements but will proceed with his scheduled visit to Moscow for the Victory Parade on May 9.
Dragan Dincic, a cardiologist from the Military Medical Academy, previously consulted with Vucic and reported that the president’s condition had stabilized. However, he indicated that Vucic would need a few more days to fully resume all duties.
The president’s health became a concern after he experienced sharp chest pain during a visit to the United States. Following a medical examination, he opted to return to Serbia, prioritizing his well-being. Vucic has expressed his commitment to attending the upcoming Victory Parade in Moscow, barring any unforeseen circumstances or threats to Serbia.
As Vucic prepares to address the nation on Wednesday evening, his return signals a resumption of normalcy in Serbian leadership and international diplomacy.
