Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic Arrives in Moscow for 80th Anniversary of Victory Day
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has landed in Moscow to partake in the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, an event commemorating the Soviet Union’s triumph in the Great Patriotic War. Reports indicate that his journey initially took him to Baku before heading to Russia.
Prior to Vucic’s arrival, Lithuanian and Latvian authorities restricted their airspace, preventing his flight from traversing those routes on its way to Moscow, where he is set to attend the Victory Day parade on May 9. This visit underscores Serbia’s continued ties with Russia amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.
During his time in Moscow, Vucic is also scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin for discussions on various bilateral matters, further emphasizing the close relationship between the two nations.
