Severe Rains Leave Nearly 70,000 Citizens of Uzbekistan Without Electricity
At least 190 power distribution lines across Uzbekistan have been disconnected due to heavy rains and winds, according to a report from the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan. The breakdowns have affected 66,750 consumers and small industrial enterprises in Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Samarkand, Kashkadarya, Bukhara, and Tashkent regions, leaving them temporarily without power supply.
Special brigades are currently working to eliminate the faults and restore electricity to the affected areas.
