Shavkat Mirziyoyev Visits Astana
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has embarked on a state visit to Kazakhstan, where he was warmly greeted by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the Astana International Airport. The two leaders are set to chair the first meeting of the High Intergovernmental Council tomorrow.
The discussions during the meeting will focus on strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Cooperation in various fields such as politics, trade, economy, investment, transport, energy, agriculture, and cultural exchanges will be on the agenda.
In addition to the bilateral talks, President Mirziyoyev is scheduled to participate in the Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Leaders and the “Central Asia + Japan” dialogue format. This visit aims to further enhance the ties between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan and promote regional cooperation in Central Asia.
