Shukhrat Kayumov to Lead State Cyber University in Uzbekistan
A new institution specializing in education and retraining in the fields of cybersecurity, digital economy, and artificial intelligence is set to be led by Shukhrat Kayumov. With a background in both technical and economic studies, Kayumov is well-equipped to head this new venture.
Having graduated from Tashkent State Technical University and Tashkent State Economic University, Kayumov furthered his education by studying at leading universities in Germany and Japan. His experience as the former head of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages also makes him a highly qualified candidate for this new role.
The establishment of the State Cyber University was made official by a presidential decree on January 20, 2025. This new university aims to train and develop specialists in cybersecurity, the digital economy, and artificial intelligence. With Kayumov at the helm, the State Cyber University is poised to make significant contributions to the field of technology in Uzbekistan.
