
Siirt News: Fire Breaks Out in 10-Storey Building, Residents Evacuated Using Shipping Elevators

A fire broke out in a 10-storey building on Kervan Street in the Garzan Quarter, leaving residents stranded in their apartments due to smoke formation. Emergency services, including 112 Emergency Health, Police, Fire Department, and AFAD teams, were quickly dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters and social events intervention vehicle (TOMA) were also called in to help with the fire intervention. They evacuated residents trapped in the building using fire shipping elevators and by guiding them to safety through windows and balconies.
Siirt Governor Kemal Kizilkaya and Kurtalan District Governor Samet Serin were also present at the scene to oversee the operation and gather information about the ongoing efforts to control the fire.
