Sinan Bür Takes on Presidency of Bursaspor – Late-breaking Sports Update
Sinan Bür Elected as the New President of Bursaspor
The Bursaspor Extraordinary General Assembly was held recently at the Merinos Cultural Center, where Sinan Bür was elected as the new president of the green-whites after receiving 507 votes. Out of 3,086 members with voting rights, 1,163 attended the assembly.
Bursaspor’s current debt was announced to be 1 billion 298 million TL by the club’s Administrative and Financial Affairs Vice President, Ali Ekber Kartum, during the assembly.
Tension arose during the meeting when former President Recep Günay was unaware that the club had received a point deletion penalty. Günay announced his resignation from membership and left the meeting after his management was not acquitted as a result of the voting at the Extraordinary General Assembly.
Sinan Bür’s management staff was also announced, including; Ünal Yanar, Sinan Oral, Erkan Öncel, Ercan Bayraktar, Adem Bostan, Erdinç Doğan, İsmail Ertekin, and Alper Özyüksel.
These new developments mark a significant change in the leadership of Bursaspor, and it will be interesting to see how the new management handles the club’s debt and other issues in the future.
