A Serious Accident Involving a Car and a Bus in Istanbul
A dramatic accident occurred in Istanbul when a car allegedly driven by Ferhat Kaya collided with an IETT bus driven by Bayram Uçan. The collision occurred as the car exited an alley, resulting in injuries to 4 individuals in the car and 2 passengers on the bus. One of the injured individuals in the car was reportedly stuck in their position following the impact.
Emergency services, including fire brigade, health, and police teams, quickly responded to the scene of the accident. Firefighters worked diligently to free the trapped individual from the car, while the other injured parties were transported to the hospital via ambulance. Thankfully, the injuries sustained were not life-threatening.
Remarkably, the bus driver, Bayram Uçan, emerged from the accident unscathed and was taken to the police station for questioning. The car involved in the collision was rendered unusable, while the bus suffered broken windows as a result of the impact. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
Eyewitnesses, such as Özal Özgürbüz, recounted the harrowing experience, noting the speed of the car and the chaotic scene that unfolded. “The car coming from below was fast. He hit the IETT bus. We were in front of the shop. We also survived a great danger. There were 4 injured people in the car and 2 in the bus,” Özgürbüz stated.
As investigations continue into the accident, it serves as a reminder of the importance of cautious driving and adherence to traffic regulations to prevent such unfortunate incidents from occurring in the future.
