Two Uzbek Nationals Arrested for Illegal Gasoline Transportation via Underground Pipeline
Two Uzbek nationals have recently been detained for their involvement in illegally transporting A-92 grade gasoline from Kazakhstan’s Turkestan region to Uzbekistan’s Qibray district in Tashkent region through an underground pipeline. The individuals, identified as M.M. and Kh.Kh., residents of Qibray district, Tashkent region, were found to have conspired with a Kazakh citizen, A.K., in the illegal transportation and distribution of gasoline.
Law enforcement agencies conducted an operation that led to the arrest of the suspects, who had placed a hose inside a 300-meter-long underground pipeline connecting Saryagash district in Kazakhstan to Qibray district in Uzbekistan. This operation uncovered their involvement in the illicit activity.
A criminal case has been opened against M.M. and Kh.Kh., and investigative actions are currently underway. Additionally, Kazakh authorities have been alerted about A.K.’s involvement in the scheme, and measures are being taken against him.
The illegal transportation of gasoline through underground pipelines poses a significant risk to public safety and the environment. Authorities are working diligently to address and prevent such criminal activities in the region.
