South Korea plans to create high-tech hub in partnership with Uzbekistan

President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, recently expressed hope for joint collaboration with Uzbekistan in establishing a high-tech hub in Central Asia. This initiative aims to create an innovative Silk Road of the 21st century, which has the potential to drive humanity towards a scientific and technological breakthrough.

During discussions, the focus was on strengthening cooperation in research and development (R&D) and fostering humanitarian exchanges in advanced sciences and technologies, including Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and semiconductors for artificial intelligence (AI).

Yoon Suk Yeol highlighted that Korea is the first country to develop a national “digital textbook with AI”, set to be implemented in school education by 2025. This innovative approach will allow students to receive personalized education based on their individual characteristics. Additionally, Korea is actively supporting the training of teachers to effectively utilize digital technologies in the educational process.

Being a frontrunner in artificial intelligence and digital education, Korea has expressed readiness to share its expertise with Uzbekistan. This includes showcasing examples of innovative practices integrated into the learning process and models for digital education. The two countries are looking forward to collaborating in the future to leverage these advancements for mutual benefit.
