South Korean Businessmen to Open IT University in Uzbekistan
KoBiz Company Considers Opening New Office in Fergana Valley
KoBiz Alliance, a company founded by South Korean entrepreneurs, is looking to expand its presence in Uzbekistan by considering the possibility of opening a new office in the regions of Fergana Valley. The company’s strategic plans for development in Uzbekistan were discussed during a recent meeting with the management of Siha CNC and representatives of the technology park.
The focus of the discussions was on advancements in autonomous operating systems and solutions based on artificial intelligence. KoBiz Alliance has recently been granted resident status at IT Park and is planning to recruit local specialists to join their team.
In addition to expanding their office presence, KoBiz Alliance is also collaborating with IT associations of Korea and the Turin Polytechnic University to establish a new university in Uzbekistan. The university is scheduled to start operating in September of this year with an initial intake of up to 900 students. The long-term goal is to train up to 30 thousand IT specialists to meet the increasing demand for outsourcing services from Korean customers.
The company is also exploring opportunities for joint initiatives to attract foreign IT companies to Uzbekistan. KoBiz Alliance has proposed involving 30 firms in the upcoming ICTWeek event scheduled for September.
During the meeting, IT Park presented new initiatives and projects to support the IT sector, including the proposition of opening an additional office in Fergana Valley under the Zero Risk program.
Established in May 2024 in Tashkent by Seo Hong Guy and Kim Tae Jin, KoBiz Alliance is a subsidiary of the South Korean company BizData, specializing in services related to autonomous operating systems, big data, and artificial intelligence. The company’s expanding presence in Uzbekistan signals a growing partnership between South Korea and the Central Asian nation in the field of technology and innovation.
