South Korean Ophthalmologists Perform Free Surgeries on Residents of Zhaiyl District
A team of South Korean ophthalmologists recently conducted free surgeries on 97 residents of Zhaiyl district in Kyrgyzstan. This charitable initiative was organized as part of the Vision Eye Camp Kyrgyzstan event, as reported by the press service of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
The team of 22 specialists from South Korea, including three ophthalmologist-surgeons, examined a total of 600 patients from the villages in Zhaiyl district. Additionally, 500 citizens were provided with glasses and necessary medications free of charge.
The surgeries and examinations were conducted with the aim of improving the eye health and vision of the residents in the region. The efforts of the South Korean ophthalmologists were met with gratitude and appreciation from the local community.
This act of kindness and generosity demonstrates the importance of international cooperation in providing vital healthcare services to underserved populations. The residents of Zhaiyl district are thankful for the support and assistance received from the visiting specialists.
