SSS Officers Thwart Illegal Circulation of Four Pistols

State Security Service and internal affairs bodies in Uzbekistan have successfully stopped the illegal activities of four individuals from Bukhara in Tashkent. The suspects were found to have weapons and ammunition hidden at their place of residence.

The investigation revealed that the individuals were involved in smuggling weapons and ammunition from Russia. During a search of one suspect’s home, authorities seized 3 Makarov pistols, 1 Tulsky-Tokarev pistol, a silencer, and a total of 26 cartridges. Additionally, 2 sawn-off hunting rifles without proper documentation and 6 cartridges were found at the residence of one of the accomplices.

Forensic ballistic examination confirmed that the seized weapons and ammunition were in combat condition and suitable for use. A criminal case has been initiated under articles 246 (Smuggling) and 248 (Illegal trafficking in firearms and ammunition) of the Criminal Code, and the investigation is ongoing.
