“Stable Prices for AI-92 Gasoline at UNG Petro Stations from May 1”
Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy has stated that a recent announcement about an increase in gasoline prices from May 1 was published without permission from management. The announcement caused a stir on social networks, but the ministry has confirmed that AI-92 gasoline prices at filling stations owned by Uzbekneftegaz JSC will remain the same. The ministry also expressed that appropriate action would be taken against employees responsible for the unauthorized announcement. In fact, there may even be a decrease in the price of AI-92 gasoline in May, with a reduction expected to 7,500 soums per liter. The information about the potential price hike was circulated on social media after UNG Petro LLC, operated by Uzbekneftegaz, posted the message on its Telegram channel that discounts on gasoline would be canceled from May 1. However, the post was deleted shortly after.
