State Mortgage Company Begins Construction of Yntymak Complex in Bishkek
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has laid a capsule at the construction site of the Yntymak residential complex in Bishkek, as reported by the presidential press service. This complex, being built by the State Mortgage Company, will consist of 18-story buildings with 8,100 apartments on 18 hectares of land. Additionally, the complex will feature a school, two kindergartens, parking lots, and commercial premises on the ground floors.
The President highlighted the ongoing construction of more than 40,000 apartments across the country, with multi-story buildings currently being built in regional centers. Starting next year, construction will expand to district centers and cities, aiming to provide affordable housing for a larger portion of the population.
A special program has been developed to simplify the acquisition of housing for socially vulnerable groups, providing housing on preferential terms without a down payment and with the possibility of long-term purchasing. The State Mortgage Company and Eldik Bank have launched the Accumulative Mortgage project to further facilitate affordable housing acquisition, with additional support mechanisms being developed for orphans and a new project, Contribution to the Future, in the works.
Half of the apartments in the Yntymak complex will be offered on preferential terms to social workers, while the other half will be available to migrants and citizens with a 50 percent contribution to the construction. The President emphasized the importance of prepayment to expedite the construction process for those waiting for housing.
Currently, there are 22,573 people on the waiting list in Bishkek and 15,400 in the regions, with a total of 42,316 apartments under construction nationwide. The government is focusing on ensuring that citizens can access affordable housing not only in the capital but also in the regions, with plans to expand construction to regions, districts, and small towns by 2025.
