The State Mortgage Company (SMC) has provided approximately 9,500 mortgage loans amounting to more than 16 billion soms through commercial banks since 2016, according to Deputy Chairman of SMC Tilek Dzheembaev at a press conference.
Within the past three years, 4,000 loans totaling 9.4 billion soms have been issued under the My Home 2021-2026 program. In total, 203,500 square meters of housing were purchased through this program.
Dzheembaev stated, “If from 2016 to 2020 the average mortgage loan amount was 1.1 million soms, then from 2021 to 2023 it was 3.2 million soms. Despite the increase in the average loan amount, the area of housing purchased through the state mortgage remained at the same level.”
Since the establishment of the SMC, 9,500 families have been provided with housing, with 4,200 families receiving housing within the past three years under the current program. The SMC continues to play a crucial role in providing housing opportunities for families in Kyrgyzstan.
