Colin Stewart Talks About 5+1 Informal Cyprus Meeting in Geneva
Colin Stewart, the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General and the United Nations Peace Position Mission Chief in Cyprus, recently spoke about the upcoming two-communal event, the 5+1 informal Cyprus meeting in Geneva.
During his statement, Stewart mentioned that although there are still fundamental disagreements regarding the peace process, it is encouraging that the parties are willing to come together once again.
“I sincerely hope that the parties will see the Geneva meeting as an opportunity to make progress on the Cyprus issue,” said Colin Stewart.
