Stock Market Opens with Slight Gain

The stock market started the day with a slight increase in the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul. The index rose to 8,094.73 points, increasing by 7.49 points and gaining 0.09 percent compared to the previous closing.

The banking index decreased by 0.18 percent, while the holding index increased by 0.24 percent. The sector index that gained the most at the opening was forest paper printing with 0.58 percent.

Yesterday, the BIST 100 index completed the day at 8,087.24 points with a 0.76 percent gain in value.

In other news, Minister Işıkhan announced an extension in the duration of the earthquake zone measures.
