Attack on Strela Plant in Bryansk Region
On May 4, the Strela plant, located in Russia’s Bryansk region, was reportedly subjected to an attack, according to the Russian Telegram channel Mash. The facility is known for producing electronics crucial for the military-industrial complex and is a collaborator with the state-owned Rostec corporation.
Initial reports indicate that the plant, situated in the Suzemsky district, was targeted using Grad multiple rocket launchers. Eyewitness accounts describe flames engulfing both the workshop and the administrative building, with preliminary assessments suggesting that the plant itself has sustained significant damage.
In the aftermath of the assault, two security personnel suffered minor injuries and required medical assistance. There are conflicting reports about the nature of the attack, with some suggesting that drones may have also played a role.
As the situation unfolds, further investigations will be essential to understand the full extent of the damage and the implications for the military production capabilities in the region.
