According to the Chungbuk Fire Department, those injured included the school principal, an administrative officer, and a facility worker, all of whom sustained stab wounds to critical areas such as the chest, abdomen, and back. They were quickly transported to nearby hospitals, including Cheonan Dankook University Hospital, for immediate medical attention.

In addition to the three staff members, three others, including the attacker, suffered minor injuries. Fortunately, all individuals involved are reported to be in stable condition, with no immediate threat to their lives.

Following the assault, the perpetrator fled to a nearby reservoir and attempted to jump into the water. Fortunately, he was rescued and subsequently taken to the hospital.

Authorities are currently investigating the motive behind this distressing attack. Police have begun questioning school officials and witnesses to gather more details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.

An official from the North Chungcheong Provincial Office of Education confirmed that an emergency meeting, led by the school’s vice principal, is underway to evaluate the situation and explore possible motives for the attack.
