Students to Enjoy Summer Vacation with Festive Activities
The Ministry of National Education has introduced a new initiative to promote social activities and clubs during the last weeks of the academic term. This year, the “end of term activity week” was implemented for the first time, following the instruction of Minister Yusuf Tekin. This practice will continue in the last week before the summer holiday.
During the activity week, students will have the opportunity to participate in fun and skill-based practices included in the new curriculum. The activities aim to foster sharing between students and teachers while allowing for an enjoyable learning experience.
The activities planned for the activity week include cultural events, knowledge-building exercises, and skill-development workshops. Students will have the chance to showcase their talents, improve their oratory skills, and engage in discussions on important topics. The goal is to enhance students’ understanding of their culture, develop empathy, and encourage creativity.
As part of the “end of term activity week,” schools will organize a series of events to bid farewell to the academic year. The Ministry has provided a sample activity plan for schools to follow, allowing students and teachers to collaborate in planning engaging activities.
Some of the activities included in the sample planning are quizzes, talent sharing hours, visual art, science, and sports activities. Students will also have the opportunity to engage in oratory games, problem-solving discussions, and comedy hours to promote teamwork and communication skills.
The week will conclude with a “Travel and Picnic Day” on the day before report card day. This day will provide students with a chance to relax and enjoy a trip or picnic organized by the school.
Overall, the Ministry aims to create a festive atmosphere in schools during the last week of the academic term, promoting student engagement, creativity, and social interaction. The “end of term activity week” will offer a fun and meaningful way for students to wrap up the school year before embarking on their summer vacation.
