Supporter of Uzbek Crime Group Leader Salim Boyvocha Arrested in Batken
A 68-year-old Kyrgyzstani man has been detained in Batken for his involvement with the wanted leader of an organized crime group, Salimbay Abduvaliev, also known as Salim Boyvocha. The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (SCNS) reported the news.
According to the SCNS, the detainee, identified as M.M.M., was a native and resident of Kyzyl-Kiya city in Batken region. Investigators determined that he was connected to the criminal activities of Abduvaliev Salimbay, who is wanted by the SCNS of Kyrgyzstan. The detainee was even photographed with another individual, Z.E.T., 46, who had previously been detained for ties to Abduvaliev in Tashkent.
The security service took the detainee to SCNS for further investigation and to understand the details of his interactions with the leader of the organized criminal group in Uzbekistan. During this process, the 68-year-old renounced criminal ideology and expressed support for the state’s development trends and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic’s efforts to combat criminal organizations.
The detainee’s change in stance towards criminal activities highlights the positive impact of government policies in addressing criminal structures in the country. The SCNS will continue its investigative efforts to ensure the safety and security of Kyrgyzstan’s citizens.
