Supreme Court Chairman Urges Judges to Fight Corruption
Zamirbek Bazarbekov, the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan, recently convened a brief meeting to discuss the quality of consideration of cases by investigating judges of local courts in Bishkek. During the meeting, it was emphasized that investigative judges must exercise particular care when accepting materials, considering cases, and making decisions.
“Judges are the bearers of judicial power. It is necessary to ensure the independence of the judiciary,” stated Zamirbek Bazarbekov. He also stressed the importance of strict compliance with legal requirements and norms, as well as the prevention of corruption and eradication of procedural violations by judges.
Furthermore, Bazarbekov emphasized that judges should be held accountable for every violation committed, and that no one should go unpunished. This indicates a strong commitment to upholding the integrity and fairness of the judicial system in Kyrgyzstan.
