“Surprising Perfection of Yeşim in ‘Deception’ Stuns Asena Girişken”
Asena Girişken, who plays the role of Yeşim in the Turkish TV series “Deception”, is gaining popularity for her impressive performance. The drama, which airs on ATV on Thursday nights, features skilled actors such as Vahide Perçin, Mustafa Uğurlu and Ercan Kesal in leading roles, along with young actress Girişken.
Girişken’s performance as Yeşim, a complex character who transforms from a sweet girl to a villainous figure, has impressed audiences. Speaking about the role, Girişken said, “Actually, I didn’t know that Yeşim would go to such a shameless place. I knew that after a while, Yeşim would transform and become a bad person, but I did not know that she would be such a colorful villain.”
The actress also praised the character’s humor, stating that she was surprised every time she read the script. “I am very excited to play Yeşim. When the first offer came, I did not think that she was a woman with such a wide scale. But I was anticipating that I would color it a lot. That’s why she’s so excited for me,” she explained.
Although Girişken was scared at first to work alongside experienced actors, she says that it helped her acting skills. “I was on the younger side because of my age. It was a little scary to be working with such big names. But after I met them, it’s very nice, acting went to a very useful place for me too.”
Girişken also praised lead actress Vahide Perçin, stating that she had very realistic feelings while playing with her and that it was enjoyable to work with Mustafa Uğurlu and Özlem Tokarslan as well.
