Surrealism Spotlight: Rare Salvador Dali Masterpieces on Display in Kazakh Capital
The HAS SANAT Art Gallery in Astana is currently hosting the “Salvador Dali: The Secret Writing” exhibition from Aug. 30 to Sept. 29. This exhibition presents 61 original works by the legendary surrealist artist.

The exhibition features 61 lithographs and woodcuts by Salvador Dali, showcasing his rare printed heritage. The collection, sourced from private collectors and galleries in Europe and America, includes lithographs from various series such as “Carmen,” “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” and “Dalinian Horses.” A standout piece is the triptych “Trilogy of Love,” highly valued by collectors worldwide.
Egarmin specifically mentioned Dali’s illustrations for “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” where Dali interpreted Lewis Carroll’s classic tale in his unique surrealistic style. She also highlighted the “Trilogy of Love,” a tribute to Dali’s wife Gala, which reflects Dali’s feelings for her through the symbolism of tarot cards.
